Leibster Award

Thank you so much, Anita Chapman for nominating my blog for a Liebster Award. It was a lovely surprise and couldn't have come at a better time. I won't bore you with the details but the last few weeks have not been good so this has made my day! Smile Anita's blog is always an interesting read so do pop over and take a look. She's also a lovely lady and is very supportive so thanks again, Anita.

The rules:

1. What's your favourite novel and what do you love about it?

This is always a difficult one because there are so many books I love in equal measure. I'll say, 'Devil's Cub' by Georgette Heyer, today. I love it because both the hero and his father (it's a sequel to 'These Old Shades') are the sort of men who could definitely steal my heart. It's full of brilliant dialogue and has action and adventure in spades. It's the kind of book that leaves you smiling, long after you've read it.

2. Do you have any pet peeves in fiction?

Endings that leave me feeling dissatisfied. By that I mean, where I'm left to draw my own conclusions or where the end is such a complete surprise that I think, where did that come from? Unless it's a mystery or murder, in which case a surprise ending is good.
